オールスターを快適に履く
コンバースのオールスターはかっこよくて好きなんだけど履いてて異常に疲れる。他のスニーカーに比べて疲れを感じるまでの時間が極端に短い。サイズが合ってても疲れる。
こないだのサマーソニックなんかうっかりオールスターを履いて行ってしまったものだから帰る頃にはグッタリしすぎて友達に声もかけずに帰ってしまったほど。
そこで思いついたのがインソール(中敷き)を入れて履くという方法。ハンズのインソール売り場に行くと革靴用だとか、外反母趾の人用とか、防臭とかいろいろあって、しかもどれもこれも疲労軽減だとか通気性抜群だとか書いてあるので何を買っていいか数十分悩んだ。
値段は1000円ぐらいのものから6000円ぐらいのかなり本気なものまでさまざま。個人的にはどうしても最先端なハイテク素材を使ってる感じのやつに惹かれてしまうのだが、その手のやつはやはり高い。まあそういう感じのであまり安くても興ざめではあるけど。
サンプルで実際に試せるものもけっこうあったので、じっくり値段や機能、履き心地を比較した結果、Presscontrol社のCellacareというインソール(中敷き)を買った。決め手はバランス。オールスター用なのでなんとなく3000円を超えるのはイヤだったし、かといってある程度ハイテクなのがいいし、ウォーキング専用というのも魅力的であった。
この手のものを使うのは初めてなのでCellacareが良いのか悪いのかはわかんないけど、これを入れただけでオールスターが別の靴かと思うぐらい快適になった。これだけの事でこれだけ快適になるならもっと早く気づけばよかった。
